Breastfeeding Friendly Employer Award
The Florida Breastfeeding Friendly Employer Recognition Program is an award program to recognize businesses who are providing support in the workplace to their breastfeeding employees.  Businesses will be evaluated based on a set of criteria for three levels of breastfeeding support: Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Businesses that meet the criteria outlined in the above brochure and application will be recognized with a plaque and recognition on this web site as well as in press releases to local media. Applications can be emailed, mailed, faxed or by the online application form above.

Workplace Breastfeeding Programs: Employer Case Studies. Developed by the Business Group’s Center for Prevention and Health Services in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office on Women’s Health and the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau, this 12-page issue brief presents exemplary employer case studies to provide guidance regarding the development, implementation and evaluation of workplace breastfeeding programs.
The Business Case for Breastfeeding is a comprehensive program designed to educate employers about the value of supporting breastfeeding employees in the workplace. The program highlights how such support contributes to the success of the entire business. Developed by the Business Group’s Center for Prevention and Health Services in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office on Women’s Health and the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau. Congratulations to the efforts being made for Florida's public school employed breastfeeding mothers to have pumping break times and a private place to do so.
